This vast experience helps us in understanding and adapting to the needs and complexities of seismic operations.

Our Equipment

SEISMED’s fleet consists of new one ton crew cab diesel trucks. All vehicles have a crew cab configuration which allows us to assist in crew transport if requested.

Units are clearly marked as Emergency First Aid vehicles, making them easily identifiable to anyone in need of emergency first aid. To ensure high visibility from the air, the roof of each vehicle is also marked. Scene lights on the sides and rear of the unit allow medics to flood approximately 600 square feet around the vehicle.

SEISMED’s equipment and supplies exceed government standards in BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan and the Northwest Territories. The vehicles exceed the Workers’ Compensation requirements for Mobile Treatment Centres in British Columbia, and industrial ambulance in Alberta and Saskatchewan. The units are well lit and heated at all times to ensure that we can provide the highest level of emergency first aid possible in remote locations.

All vehicles are installed with an In-Vehicle Monitoring System (IVMS); AED's are also included in each unit.

The SEISMED fleet is maintained on a regular schedule and is thoroughly inspected upon return from the field. In addition, a thorough mechanical check is completed every morning while the unit is in the field.

Each unit is supplied with the following communications equipment:

  • three-watt cell phone
  • a mobile VHF radio with all the common industry frequencies. SEISMED will also program a job-specific frequency if required at no charge to the client
  • a portable hand-held VHF radio with frequencies identical to the mobile VHF radio
  • UHF radios are available
